Have been playing with a 35mm film in my Diana+ Edelweiss with 35mm back. Was quite pleased with the results, although i did expect the images to be square with black strips either side of the image. Maybe i used the wrong frame, or boots processed it differently OR maybe i didn't wind the film enough for that to happen. Please view more on my flickr account!

My latest paintings come in the form of bikes. They were inspired by my trip to NYC in december 2008. There will be more bikes to come.
These are Acrylic on canvas, 61 x 61cm

Since my last post on here i have had paintings shown at an exhibition at The Lloyd Gill Gallery (March) in Weston-Super-Mare, and also at The Old Library in Cardiff (April). Please view my myspace for more information on those exhibitions.

The Sketchbook Project.

I have made a sketchbook that will be part of The Sketchbook Project arranged by the Art House in Atlanta, GA. The sketchbook, along with many more, will go on an exhibition tour in the States.

I visited New York City between December 21st and January 3rd.

I was experimenting with a square format. A very popular choice of format, one of which i had never tried before. I edited the photo to be square in photoshop, and simply chose my composition from the original rectangular photo. I was quite pleased with the results so will probably try this often.

I went to Venice, Italy in August. I have lots and lots of photos uploaded on my flickr. I was hoping to have lots of paintings by now, of Venice, but i have still been slacking in that area. I have one painting started, so i really need to finish that. I need to do some more art soon. Watch this space.

I wanted to see what it would be like to create a very bold, simple image - again, with the intention of creating prints.
The same process was used. Original freehand sketchbook drawing scanned and manipulated through photoshop.

Starting over

Welcome to my new blog site. Here i can update you, and myself, on my art. I am not really sure where i am with my art. I do not have a definite path. Recently, however i have been trying to organize my art the way i want it and in a way in which i could possibly sell. One of these ways is by making prints. I am currently researching the best ways i can make such prints, of which will be of my paintings, photographs or computer based images, or in fact sketchbook drawings. This process will take time, and probably a lot of money that i haven't got, but i am willing to wait in order to be able to have and sell these prints. For now, i am experimenting a little with scanning drawings into photoshop and adding colour, and other manipulations. Hopefully, these images will also form into something exciting and worth adding to a list of prints.
